About this deal
The Podtrak P4 has 4 microphone inputs (XLR/3-pin type). And each of those inputs has its own mic preamplifier and converter, and phantom power switch (for condenser mics). And of course, each input has its own independent input level control. A lot of people currently use USB microphones to record podcasts. These mics can offer good quality at a much lower price than a standard microphone plugged into a recording interface. that makes them quite popular.

The File Transfer menu allows you to transfer your recordings to a computer when connected to a computer via USB. The Settings Menu Yes, you can connect any Smartphone to your Podtrak P4 using a TRRS cable, which will allow you to speak to people over the phone and record your co-host or guest through input 3. You can also do this using a computer connected to the USB port on input 4. I put all the preset sounds in one audio file, which you can hear below: Preset Pad Sounds 4 headphone outputs with independent volume control The LCD is small and that makes it difficult to monitor levels and watch for peaking but given the size of the device that isn’t a real complaint because it can’t really be made any bigger. The LCD light goes off while recording to save battery usage and that can be annoying. Only records in 44.1 khz and 16 bit resolution
In files, you’ll see all the files currently on the SD card. In sound pad you have the option to customize the four sound pad buttons (new sounds can be added via the SD card). The mic settings allow you to apply a lo-cut filter or a (digital) limiter. File transfer is used when the device is plugged into a computer via USB instead of taking out the SD card from one and inserting it into the other. And here is the voice recording with the same situation (limiter on/input level 8) – PodTrak + Rode. PodTrak P4 + Rode NT2A – Limiter On, Input Level 8, VoiceOver

This is fantastic! Just make sure the input level is loud ENOUGH by testing and watching the meters on the face of the device. And you don’t have to ever worry about something being too loud. I wish more recording interface units had this function. Note: The internal components of SDHC/SDXC cards are subject to change depending on their production period. In this case, we do not warrant their compatibility with the P4. The P4 can be used as an audio interface to record to a DAW on your computer or tablet. The menu is simple and easy to navigate. The first thing I noticed was how few options there were at the top level. When entering the menu, you’re met with the following options: High-Quality Mic Inputs: The P4’s mic inputs feature Zoom’s professional quality preamps. Providing up to 70dB of gain, the P4 can be used with the most demanding microphones. The P4’s mic inputs feature Zoom’s professional quality preamps. Headphones for Everyone The P4 can serve as a 2-input, 2-output audio interface, allowing you to record directly to your computer, Android or iOS* device. With the P4 you can also live-stream your podcast. First, the Zoom Podtrak P4 has a built-in sound pad system to which audio files can be assigned, this is a pretty convenient and useful module for podcasts and live streams when you need to insert prerecorded audio, sound effects, or ads.
