About this deal

Each reward comes with our customized stainless steel jar lid that fits to any regular mouth mason jar that is probably already in your kitchen. Instead of hot water, add cold water in the jar. Place FinalPress in the jar, close our customized lid and leave it in the fridge over night. Our system works by brewing coffee grounds in cold water. The stainless steel micron filter creates and preserves perfectly balanced, smooth tasting flavors every time by leaving behind the bitter oil and fatty acids. FinalPress will replace bulky coffee brewing tools while making great-tasting coffee with minimal time and effort.

Thanks for the excellent, well-explained post! You actually clarified some stuff I've wondered about for years. FinalPress is therefore a great environmentally friendly alternative to store-bought coffee or machine-brewed coffee. Saves You Money The chamber is TINY. It doesn't even hold anywhere enough beans for my normal 16:1 ratio. I filled the brew chamber with whole beans to just below the bottom of the plunger (so nearly full, which is more than the half they call for). That came to just shy of 15 grams. I ground on a 4.0 on my ode (medium grind) and wasn't able to fit all of it in and I didn't think to weigh it, so I don't know the actual coffee weight, but I believe it's around 13.5g. I filled it to a little below the top and brewed for 4 minutes. with percolation (like V60) the water is constantly being lost and new water added so you bloom the grinds to get optimal extraction out of them as water passes through the coffee bed. with immersion, the water stays in one place so there is no lost water, and no new water added so there's no need to bloom the grounds as a separate step. the grinds will bloom on a level while being immersed in water but there's no need to remove the FinalPress as this can happen seamlessly while immersed. in something like a french press, this is actually important because grinds will naturally float which is called the crust but if you bloom the coffee first a crust will not develop and coffee won't extract as well because it will sit at the bottom of the press pot (you would have to stir it a bit). What breaks the crust and causes the grinds to sink is agitation-like stirring. FinalPress offers numerous advantages over traditional brewing methods. First and foremost, it enhances the flavor and aroma of your beverages, thanks to its precise extraction mechanism. By brewing directly in your cup, FinalPress ensures that every drop is infused with the full essence of your chosen coffee or tea.

CathyWeeks wrote:I'm getting pretty good at tinkering with recipes and brew methods, but I'm not yet great at knowing how to get started with a new-to-me brew method. With the FinalPress agitation would be any stirring/shaking motion as well as the final press itself. but the rules are a bit different than typical immersion because all the grinds are contained inside its little chamber so they won't sink and they also won't float as you would expect in a traditional immersion. when you submerge the grinds they will rise to the top of the chamber which will be like your "bloom". you can leave it like this or after a typical blooming phase has elapsed give the FinalPress some agitation by shaking/stirring it and the floating grinds should start to sink. since it's all contained in this FinalPress unit it doesn't really matter a whole lot and you may not even notice anything floating or sinking, plus any slight movement can break the mini crust of the FinalPress.
