This is the final configuration; if this can also be made better (bang for the buck), please offer your suggestions. There was actually enough space to easily re-plug in the power button connector for the front panel after I had accidently pulled it loose at one point. While the other half would flow across the GPU, you wouldn’t really see any meaningful temperature differences, plus you would lose a large portion of the cable management space this case provides. The overall quality is certainly up to Fractal’s usual standards, but the thought that went into this is easily visible. Our 13600KF and RTX 4070 weren’t really held back, but ultra high-end choices like a 4090 or 13900K would force you into skimping on cooling somewhere and making an imbalanced build.

The robust front panel, crafted from walnut, showcases an aluminium power button and a pair of USB ports designed for device connectivity. To control and limit variables as much as possible, we are largely looking per-case for ITX reviews (whereas our ATX reviews can be more standardized). There are other options too, including from SilverStone, but you’re going to be extremely constrained on CPU choice if fully biasing to accommodate the GPU.

Additional comment: Motherboard Spine is adjustable, which affects the min/ max GPU width and CPU cooler height. The Fractal Terra might not suit every PC spec but it's a very good-looking, compact mini-ITX case that will support high-end hardware and looks like the ideal option for a living room media PC, or any other use you can think of.

Find your build’s ideal balance with 30 mm of internal flexibility provided by a stepless, movable central wall. Of course, some might wonder if an enclosure this tiny, with no exhaust fans, if the GPU cooler and a low profile CPU will be able to keep the temps in check. You can’t compare them to other cases directly, unless the other case explicitly uses the same hardware, BIOS configuration, and fan speeds.

The absolute number doesn’t matter much here -- remember that you can control your fans to affect the noise, and this case has no fans, so all we’re really testing is how the cooler fans interact with the case panels.
